As EXO ends their promotions for "Overdose" this week, many SM Entertainment fans are hoping for a f(x) comeback next.

Reportedly, EXO will wrap up promotions for the album "Overdose" on the SBS music show "Inkigayo" on June 8. Following their "Overdose" promotions, EXO will continue their "Lost Planet" tour in China at Wuhan on June 14 and Chongqing on June 28.

Despite some fans' disappointment in saying goodbye to EXO for the time being, others are wondering which SM Entertainment act will have their comeback next, and one popular suspect is 5-member girl group f(x).

On June 1, f(x) rapper Amber Liu posted a photo on Instagram featuring all five members of the group, the first in quite some time.

"I smell f(x)'s comeback," tweeted Miraclebaek on June 6.

On May 13, Amber appeared on the Arirang show "After School Club." This program is a live music request show hosted for international K-pop in English. Alongside co-host Eric Nam, Kevin Woo of U-Kiss asked Amber regarding an f(x) comeback this year.

"We have been preparing, but I can't give any set-in date," responded Amber. "Whenever we want to come out we will come out."

During the same month, f(x) leader Victoria appeared on a broadcast of MBC's "Idol's True Colors," where she was asked about the f(x) comeback.

“We’re preparing, possibly for the summer," answered Victoria according to Korean news site Nate. "You’ll be able to meet us soon.”

It is still unconfirmed when f(x) will have their next comeback, but the earlier rumored date is sometime after the 2014 World Cup.

"Let's pray for f(x) to make their comeback after the World Cup ends, which is the middle of July," added Nye on Twitter.
