‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’ Plot Spoilers: Batmobile Has Wings? Superman Statue Hails Him As Metropolis Hero!

More set photos from "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" have leaked. There are also some hush-hush details that have not emerged in photos.

One of the more intriguing set pieces that was revealed last week was a 15 foot statue of Superman-minus the head, arms and legs. Thus, there were many questions raised rather than answers. Who made the statue? Was it destroyed, or was it meant to desecrate the image of the Man of Steel-something we would blame on Lex Luthor?

The first semblance of an answer comes from Batman News:

"My source on set said that they held a big ceremony to unveil the big Superman statue. The statue was built to celebrate Superman saving the Earth in the first movie - Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice takes place about two years after the events of Man of Steel. Gotham and Metropolis news trucks and helicopters were on the scene to cover the Mayor's speech and the statue unveiling. Elementary school kids wore "Superman Survivors" shirts and helped pull a sheet off the statue for the big reveal. They also released real doves to celebrate statue unveiling. The Superman statue that we saw last week was incomplete - he was missing a head and other various body parts. That didn't change when they filmed the scene for the movie. I'm told that the statue will be completed in post-production with CGI."

So it wasn't Lex Luthor after all, and it was just an honest to goodness tribute. There was no reason why it was incomplete. Or if they were going to use CGI anyway, why did they construct it in the first place?

In the meantime, set photos reveal news crews and vans of both Metropolis and Gotham. Who knew they were neighbors?

Moving on, there were also some teasers about the Batmobile-one of the most anticipated vehicles in movie history. Still from Batman News:

"I also have a brief Batmobile update to share. I've been told that the Batmobile doors open up like wings. I'm not sure if that means it'll transform into a Batwing and allow Batman to fly... but with Superman and Wonder Woman confirmed for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, it'd certainly make sense."

Batman can't be left behind, right? A transforming Batmobile would be the latest innovation to a long line of Batmobile development.

May 6, 2016 will bring about the answers and the finished puzzle-which will lead into the Justice League movie.
