Extreme fans (known as sasaeng in Korea) have been making headlines, and now another possible case has come to light. 

According to a report by the Korean Herald, Seo Taiji's wife, actress Lee Eun Sung, arrived home earlier this week and opened the garage door. When she did, a woman rushed in. Thinking quickly, Lee Eun Sung closed the garage door and locked the intruder inside, and then called the police. 

The person was arrested on trespassing charges once the police arrived. She is a thirty year old woman. A Seotaiji company representative said that the invader had been spotted around Seo Taiji's house over the past year, but this was her first attempt at entering the couple's home in Seoul.

The company didn't call her a fan, saying that it would be investigating her connection with Seo Taiji. 

Even though the possible stalker isn't being called a "fan," her actions are similar to sasaeng fans that are known to harass idols. Older idols tend to have older fans who tend to be less agressive, so stories of first-generation K-Pop idols and sasaeng fans are rare. 

The occurance seems like it is out of the drama Answer Me 1994, where one of the main characters was a sasaeng fan who stalked Seo Taiji. 

Sasaeng fans have always gained attention for their obsession-like worship of idols, with different idol groups particularly being the aim of sasaeng. Lately, EXO's fans have been criticized for being overly dedicated, to the degree that EXO members have asked fans several times to tone down their behavior. 

The most recent EXO-related sasaeng activity involved a fan placing a hidden camera in the hotel that EXO-M's Luhan was using, said another report from the Korean Herald.

Seotaiji company and the Seoul Police may be unwilling to call the stalker a fan because her actions have placed her in a category that the average fan doesn't want to be connected with.
