'Roommate' Fans Worry About Park Bom's Tenure After Drug Scandal Allegations

2NE1 member Park Bom has come under fire for allegations of smuggling illegal drugs from the United States, and supporters are worried whether this will affect her appearance on the popular reality series, "Roommate."

Reportedly, Park Bom came under investigation in 2010 for attempting to transport amphetamines (which are illegal in South Korea) through international mail service. Since the news made headlines, the founder of Park Bom's record label, Yang Hyun Suk, has addressed the scandal in a personal letter to the public.

"Up until 4 years ago, Bom had been using the medication that she had been formally prescribed by the university hospital in the U.S.," wrote the YG Entertainment founder, "but because she could not go to the States due to her busy schedule, in the process of receiving the medication from her mom and grandmother, it had become a problem because it is a medication that is prohibited in Korea."

"But luckily, her medical record over the past several years and her prescription from the university hospital were received and submitted during the investigation, so it was an event that was safely and soundly wrapped up with every evidence being provided."

Park Bom is currently starring in "Roommate," where she is one of 11 celebrities living in a house together. After the alleged drug scandal, however, fans are worried that the incident could affect her future on the series.

"We held an emergency meeting after the staff learned about Bom's news," said a representative of "Roommate" according to allkpop. "We are currently sorting out our position on the matter. There is nothing that can be said at the moment. We are currently talking it over."

"I dare say that 70% of the viewers for 'Roommate' are [2NE1 fans], and if they drop Park Bom, good luck to them on the views," wrote Lee Chaenel on Twitter.

"It'll be 'Roommate's loss if they drop Park Bom in the show," added Michelle N. on July 1. "She's keeping the show alive for goodness sake."

"Roommate" airs on Sundays on SBS.
