A new K-pop girl group will be making their debut under CUBE Entertainment this year!

On April 15, CUBE Entertainment shared a logo animation video and an image showing the name of their upcoming female group through their official social media accounts.

New K-pop Girl Group to Debut under CUBE Entertainment

Based on the logo video and photo, CUBE Entertainment will be debuting a new K-pop girl group named LIGHTSUM. The video starts with a box and the next scenes appear to show the various concepts that the new female act will be doing once they make their debut.

The group name, LIGHTSUM, which is a compound word of "LIGHT" and "SUM," seems to signify that all things showing a small glow were gathered to shine brighter and deliver greater positive energy to the world together through a message of hope.

It was reported that LIGHTSUM will make their debut in the first half of the year. They will be the first K-pop girl group of CUBE Entertainment after three years since the debut of (G)I-DLE back in May 2018. The number of members is yet to be revealed. Watch the logo animation video below for LIGHTSUM's debut!

Current and Previous Artists of CUBE Entertainment

LIGHTSUM will be CUBE Entertainment's fifth active idol group, following BTOB, CLC, PENTAGON, and (G)I-DLE, and the third active K-pop girl group of the agency.
