K-Pop News Weekly Top 3: Kemy Disses Park Bom, WINNER Prepares For Debut, KCON

A.KOR's Kemy Release Diss Track Insulting 2NE1's Park Bom, Causing Trouble For Both Idols

Rookie girl group A.KOR made headlines this week when one of the members, Kemy, released a rap that insulted 2NE1's Park Bom. The rap was about Park Bom's drug scandal, and how the whole situation was handled legally. 2NE1's fans got annoyed, and responded with their own diss tracks aimed at Kemy.

Things got so bad that A.KOR has had to stop promotions, although the company did insist that Kemy had the right to release the song, which was meant as an entry to a rap competition.

WINNER Begins Debut Promotions

After a long wait, YG Entertainment finally has started WINNER down the path of debut. The group met the press formally this past week, and released teaser images. WINNER also held a press conference, where YG Entertainment's CEO Yang Hyun Suk discussed the differences between WINNER and Big Bang.

The group's first official music will be released on-line on August 12, becoming WINNER's first boy band to debut since Big Bang debuted in 2006.
