David Bowie Releases Jazz Song Called Sue; Legendary Performer Talks New Music

Legendary musician David Bowie has released a seven-minute jazz-influenced song called "Sue (Or In Season Of A Crime) on October 12. The song is Bowie's latest single from his greatest hits album "Nothing Has Changed."

David Bowie's jazz song was produced by Tony Visconti and recorded with the Maria Schneider Orchestra, according to Billboard. The song will reportedly be available in a limited edition 10" single and digital download.

The song, along with the others part of the compilation, is part of the musician's celebration of 50 years in the music industry. In a statement released in July, Bowie promised to release new music, saying: "The city is even better than the one you were in last year, so remember to dance, dance, dance. And then sit down for a minute, knit something, then get up and run all over the place. Do it. Love on ya. More music soon. David!"

Apart from the record to be released later this year, an exhibit showcasing Bowie's artifacts and memorabilia from the musician's personal archive called "David Bowie is..." is currently running at the Museum of Contemporary Arti in Chicago (and will be available for viewing until January 4, 2015).

A film centered on the exhibit when it was showcased in London in 2013 called "David Bowie is Happening Now" is also reportedly in the talks of getting a worldwide release.

Geoffrey Marsh, director of Theater and Performance at the Victoria & Albert Museum, shared the plan, saying: "We were very pleased about the way it went ... At the time we didn't know if we wanted to do it more broadly and we've been looking at that over the last few months because we'd very much like to release it globally at some point in the future. We're currently working on that, but we haven't got a date yet."

The record in which David Bowie's jazz song is included is the musician's latest studio effort following 2013's "The Next Day." It will reportedly be released in vinyl formats, 1CD and sets of 2CD and 3CD on November 28 in the U.S, but Australian fans will have a chance to get theirs earlier when it drops there on November 21.
