Adam Lambert Continues Queen Connection As He Collaborates With Brian May In New Album; Former 'American Idol' Tired Of Crazy Antics?

Adam Lambert and Queen's tour might have been on hiatus, but the "American Idol" alum continues his connection with the band as his new album will feature legendary guitarist Brian May.

According to Noise 11, the Queen's lead guitarist will contribute to Adam Lambert's new album, "The Original High," particularly on the single, "Lucy."

"'The Original High' was recorded in Stockholm, Sweden and Los Angeles, California with Max Martin and Shellback as executive producers," the article said. "Tove Lo also guests on the record."

Adam Lambert's new album will be released this coming June 12 by Warner Music.

About two weeks ago, Queen's current frontman dropped a sample track of the album titled "Ghost Town," which received rave reviews from critics.

Meanwhile, fans might have noticed a more subdued look by Adam Lambert from the very flamboyant fashion choice when he was still competing for "American Idol."

In an interview with Notion magazine, Adam Lambert revealed the reason for giving his look a makeover.

"Someone said to me 'Oh, you're not wearing all that crazy sh*t, are you trying to tone it down?'" he said. "And I was like 'No, I just got tired. F*ck! It was a lot of work!"

In the same interview, Adam Lambert also talked about his new album, after his tour with Queen.

"The album is dance-y but bittersweet," the "American Idol" alum said. "And the lyrics are a little darker [than that have been previously]. I've done the more bubblegum stuff, I've done the camp stuff, and now I want to encourage people to face their sh*t."

Adam Lambert had just come off a very successful European tour with Queen. Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor, the original members of the band, were profuse with praise for the rocker for having the natural ability to reach the octaves which they thought only Freddie Mercury could hit.
