Leg Injury Keeps INFINITE's Hoya From Performing Iconic Dances During 1st Night Of World Tour

Three songs into INFINITE's second world tour, one member was forced to sit down due to a leg injury.

Hoya, one of the seven members of Korean boy band INFINITE, showed his endurance by appearing on stage during the first night of "Infinite Effect" on August 8. The group's second world tour came on the heels of the their recent release, "Bad."

Hoya's injuries kept him from performing, and several of the members alluded to their busy scheduling causing INFINITE stress and health issues.

INFINITE is known for their synchronized, complex dances, and Hoya is one of the group's primary dancers. He performed the dances of opening songs "BTD (Before The Dawn)," "Paradise," and "Be Mine."  "BTD" is one of INFINITE's most difficult dances to perform, due to a move known as the scorpion dance.

Leader Sungkyu told the audience that Hoya was hardly able to walk, and suggested that he shouldn't have even performed the first few songs.

"He's healed just enough to be able to walk around. He won't be able to perform for the entire concert," said Sungkyu, according to the K-pop Herald. "We told him to relax, but he insisted that he wanted to be with us onstage."

During the concert, INFINITE's members performed several new songs, and unveiled a new music video for the song "Last Romeo," which went previously unreleased due to its relationship to the Sewol ferry tragedy in 2014.

INFINITE's "Infinite Effect" tour will head to Asia, the Americas, and Europe. No tour dates have yet been announced, other than the first two shows that were held in Seoul over the weekend.
