Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson may possibly reunited again for reel, if the rumors were true. Recent news claimed that the former "Twilight" co-stars may be working together again for a new project just days after it was reported she apparently had an idea about a gender-swap in the franchise years ago.

The rumors were first reported by Naughty Gossip. It was mentioned in the item that the purported team up aimed to boost the former couple's reportedly dwindling careers.

"Both have had little to no career success since they split," an insider told the source above. "Now agents for both of them are looking for a project for them to star in together. They both need a big hit, and to get it, they both need each other."

Neither Kristen Stewart nor Robert Pattinson has addressed the latest news and rumors about them possibly working together again. Last month, gossip went abuzz as well that they might be reunited for a "Twilight" project as told by Inquisitr. Gossip Cop though was quick to quash the rumors saying they only stemmed from speculations after the former co-stars recent interviews.

Back in September as well, Pattinson was interviewed by Elle France and as cited by Seventeen, he reportedly was open to the idea of doing another "Twilight" but did not directly say he will be doing it. In an interview with Uproxx, meanwhile, Stewart said she liked the idea of a "Twilight" reboot but without her as one of the stars.

"I was so genuinely, heavily entrenched in that, and not in a way that felt like an obligation," she explained. "Even though after the first one, which stood alone, it lasted a long time. It's hard to speak to a five-year period in a few sentences, but I loved doing it. But that doesn't mean I want to keep doing it. But if other people? Yeah, sure."

Robert Pattinson has been very open in the news about how he felt bad about the "Robsession" during the "Twilight Saga" years. In an interview with NME magazine recently, he shared how he got so scared with the media frenzy after he starred in the franchise. Kristen Stewart, on the other hand, hasn't minded being linked to the franchise. Up to now, she remained close with her co-stars even bringing Taylor Lautner during the premiere of "American Ultra" recently. She also reunited with author Stephenie Meyer in June.
