Liam Hemsworth admitted he's had a difficult time to date after his split with Miley Cyrus. He has been linked however to "Independence Day: Resurgence" co-star Maika Monroe and even "Mockingjay" co-star Jennifer Lawrence.

In an interview with Men's Fitness, the "Independence Day: Resurgence" actor said he hasn't met anyone knew since splitting with Miley Cryus.

"Yeah, dating's really difficult," he admitted to the source above. "I'm constantly traveling, and I don't go out to clubs or anything like that. I have a great small group of friends in my life, but I barely ever meet anyone new."

"It's tough to have a relationship in this industry, though not to the point where it makes me depressed," he added. "I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything at this point-I feel like I'm focusing on the right things and prioritizing things in the right way, and I'm a healthy, happy person."

In an item on OK! magazine earlier this month, it was mentioned that Liam Hemsworth has reportedly been quite a "hermit" until Maika Monroe entered the scene.

"After Miley, he really did turn into a bit of a dating hermit," the insider told the source above. ""Now he's hooked up with Maika, Chris has informed his curious parents that she's a winner and she's showing him how to smile again."

The Australian actor though did not address the rumors linking him to his "Independence Day: Resurgence" co-star or even with Jennifer Lawrence. But he did talk about Miley Cyrus and the love they shared. He even defended the "Wrecking Ball" singer's image.

"I mean, look -- we were together five years, so I don't think those feelings will ever change," he explained. "And that's good because that proves to me that it was real. It wasn't just a fling. It really was an important part of my life and always will be. She's a free spirit. I think she'll always surprise people with what she does, but she's not a malicious person in any way. She's a young girl who wants to do what she wants to do."

As cited by Mirror as well recently, the "Wrecking Ball" singer admitted to Elle magazine that she's still close to her ex-fiancé.

The Liam Hemsworth Maika Monroe dating rumors, meanwhile, first surfaced back in July. As reported by Us Weekly then, the "Independece Day: Resurgence" co-stars were spotted "making out" at one party. Both actors have yet to address the rumors.
