Hong Kong Superstar G.E.M Is Bringing Her X.X.X Live Tour To The U.S. And Canada

Chinese pop star, G.E.M (Gem Tang) will kick off her first full-scale North American tour on November 3.

The singer-songwriter, whose name is an abbreviation for Get Everybody Moving, is enthusiastic about the opportunity to reach fans beyond Asia.

G.E.M will bring her tour, titled X.X.X. Live, to the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver on November 5, before traveling to California to deliver a November 6 show at the SAP Center at San Jose. After departing from San Jose, she is scheduled to perform on November 7 at the Forum in Inglewood.

She returns to Canada for a November 11 show at Toronto's Air Canada Centre, followed by Chicago Theater on November 18.

The U.S. leg of her tour concludes at Newark's Prudential Center on November 15.

During a May 2015 interview with MTV Iggy, she revealed details about her X.X.X Tour and her upcoming album, "Heartbeat."

"I'm really looking forward to my North American tour," said G.E.M. "I finally get to see the fans who have been following my Facebook for a long time. I will be able to introduce my music to them.

G.E.M was 16-years-old when she signed with her agency, Hummingbird Music. She continued to rise as a leading Hong Kong artist, before reaching audiences throughout Asia, through her appearance on the mainland Chinese competition program, "I am a Singer 2." During her run on the reality show, she defeated acts like Bibi Zhou, the soloist who defeated B.A.P, One Direction, and 5 Seconds of Summer for the title of Best Worldwide Act in the 2014 MTV European Music Awards.

While she is an established Mandopop and Cantonese-language artist, she names YG Entertainment's Big Bang as the act she would most like to work with.

"In Korea, there is a group called Big Bang," said G.E.M. "I really like the power they deliver on stage. I think if I have a chance to collaborate with them, it would be a big surprise for fans."

Her interest in the powerhouse K-pop group is notable, as her upcoming performances follow their recent North American MADE tour.

G.E.M has yet to release a Korean album, but she previously worked with Hallyu star Kim Soo Hyun on a Chinese-language commercial for Dove Chocolates. She described the experience as a positive one, but it did not inspire her to pursue a career in musical theater.

However, her vocal talent will be showcased in the upcoming Disney animated film, "Charming." G.E.M will voice Sleeping Beauty, joining Avril Lavigne and "High School Musical" star Ashley Tinsdale.

Tickets for the North American stops of X.X.X. Live Tour can be purchased through Ticketmaster. Her upcoming album, "Heartbeat," will be released on November 6.
