Super Junior And SM Entertainment Launch 'Lable SJ' In Honor Of 10th Anniversary

The kings of SM Entertainment now have their own palace.

On Friday, SM Entertainment announced that a new exclusive label was established for Super Junior in celebration of the group's tenth anniversary since their debut on Nov. 6, 2005. The new subsidiary, Lable SJ, will manage all of Super Junior's group and individual activities.

Super Junior is the first group under SM Entertainment to be managed by a specialized label.

"An exclusive label, Lable SJ, will be established for Super Junior, who celebrated their 10th anniversary, today," a statement from SM Entertainment said on Nov. 6.

Lable SJ will manage and produce all future Super Junior albums. It will provide an optimized system to support Super Junior's group activities, as well as the members' individual and unit projects.

Eleven Super Junior members- Leeteuk, Heechul, Kangin, Yesung, Sungmin, Shindong, Donghae, Eunhyuk, Siwon, Ryeowook, Kyuhyun- renewed their contracts with SM Entertainment based on the past ten years together, reports eNews.

Four members of the group- Sungmin, Shindong, Eunhyuk, Donghae- are currently serving in the military, and Siwon will enlist later this month.  

The Super Junior members shared the news on social media and celebrated their anniversary.

Kim Heechul posted an image of Super Junior with the group's thirteen members, including former members Hankyung (Han Geng) and Kim Kibum.

Despite a tumultuous history, Super Junior are one of the leading groups of the Korean Wave (Hallyu) and their 2009 hit "Sorry Sorry" is one of the most recognized K-pop songs around the globe today. 

Super Junior released a special tenth anniversary special album "Devil" and the repackaged follow-up "Magic" earlier this year.
