This week's episode begins with Yui talking to REDHAIREDDUDE in the tomato garden. She's watched closely by Ruki Mukami, who grows impatient that no one who has drank her blood has shown signs of "the awakening."

Ruki flashes back to his days as a child and how he was saved. He grows frustrated.

At school, Yui almost trips down the stairs but Yuma saves her. He carries her down the stairs until they run into Shu, who is sitting at the bottom of the stairs. Shu calls Yui immoral for switching to their side. Yuma in turn yells at him to leave.

A sudden realization gets Yuma to suddenly start drinking Yui's blood. Shu walks away. Yuma explains that he drank from her blood to make a point about Shu's upper class. Shu wonders as he walks away if Yuma is the same Edgar as he knew when he was a child.

It would seem he somehow transitioned from a human to a vampire in that time.

As soon as she gets home, Yui is grabbed by Ruki. He goes to feed from her but then stops. He then runs to the shadows and wonders aloud if they can become Adam.

With renewed conviction, he swears to become Adam.
