Preemadonna 'Nailbot' Indiegogo Campaign Aims To Produce Portable Nail Art Printer

Preemadonna "Nailbot" Indiegogo campaign aims to fuel girls' creativity with nail art.

In the age of 3-D printing machines, just about anything is possible. So one woman thought up a way to get salon quality nail art without making numerous trips to the nail salon.Plus, the best thing about it is that users are completely in control of what kind of design they want to get.

Pree Walia thought up the machine that will make Pinterest nails as easy as pie, but putting the machine into mass production is another challenge. So she opened a Preemadonna "Nailbot" Indiegogo campaign to find backers who will help fund the project.

The fund goal is set at $150,000 and has 20 days left before the campaign expires. They already raised $23,908 and have 141 backers who have availed of the different perks. However, the most basic perk is the "Nailbot Kit."

The "Nailbot" kit includes the machine, a color cartridge (safe for cosmetic use and good for 5,000 manicures), White polish, pre-print polish and the Preemadonna Smartphone App.

Not only is the Preemadonna "Nailbot" Indiegogo campaign going to be able to produce a product to expand the possibilites of nail art, it is also going to give girls the opportunity to explore their imagination and creativity. Just about anything can be printed onto nails, emojis, pictures and custom-made designs can instantly become nail art.

According to a blog post, MarkerGirl Team Manager Caitlyn Deegan said "I believe we need to have more girls interested in mathematics, science, and engineering and that won’t happen by accident. We have half the population that is under-represented or unrepresented in those fields and that means that we’ve got talent not being encouraged."

MakerGirl and Preemadonna are working together to allow and encourage young girls to pursue their interests in the sciences, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM). This will be able to empower girls and widen their options as well.

According to Mashable, the "Nailbot" will retail for $199 and will be sold on Preemadonna's Official Site. Unfortunately, the product is only available in the United states, but Walia hopes that it will go global once the machine is further worked on. A battery operated machine is already in the works, plus a new machine that is half the size of the current machine.

Those who are interested in backing the Preemadonna "Nailbot" can fund them on Indiegogo.
