Synopsis/Recap:

This week's episode begins with everyone concerned as to whether Piccolo has survived the shot from Freeza. He doesn't get up from the ground, so Gohan cries in despair. It appears Piccolo has died. Elsewhere, Goku and Vegeta continue to train with Whis and Beerus.

Beerus demands to eat more pizza, so Whis ends the training session to summon more food out of his staff. Unfortunately, Goku and Vegeta have eaten the pizza. Whis calls Bulma back finally, and she tells him to send Goku and Vegeta back to earth.

Gohan powers up, prepared to fight Freeza on his own. He reaches Super Saiyan but then the power dissipates. He can't sustain. Freeza tries to attack and kill Gohan, but Goku arrives and redirects his beam into the sky.

It appears that Gohan was not powering up but was instead summoning Goku and Vegeta. Goku comforts Gohan saying they will revive Piccolo with the Namek dragon balls. Goku then sends Goten and Trunks to help Dende with Piccolo's body.

Now that they're settled and Goku and Vegeta are caught up to speed, Vegeta decides to kill Ginyu to make sure he doesn't get in the way of the fight with Freeza. It's over in a few seconds. Freeza comes down from his place in the sky and powers up. He winds up killing his army just to show his power.

Goku tells Vegeta to take the back seat since he already destroyed Ginyu. Goku then tells Freeza that he could have enjoyed their rematch if he wasn't so evil. Goku powers up a bit and the pair prepare to face off.
