Star Wars: The Force Awakens Plot Rumors And Leaks: The force is strong with this one, especially the horn players who have strong lungs. In the first Star Wars movie, science fiction fans were treated to some of the best alien characters in iconic bar scene. That bar didn't feature a house band, but if they needed one, the New Orleans Swamp Donkeys would fit the bill.

"Star Wars Episode 7: Force Awakens" takes place 30 years after "Star Wars: Episode VI: Return of the Jedi," just around the time that New Orleans jazz will be making a comeback. The New Orleans Swamp Donkeys just recorded the song that will one day make that happen.

"In a galaxy far, far away, the New Orleans Swamp Donkeys do a jazzy 'Star Wars' cover of "Far, Far Away," the popular series' theme by composer John Williams," the band announced along with their new YouTube video.

"Far, Far Away" was recorded at Marigny Studios. It was mixed and mastered by Red Button Audio. The video was filmed by inDEPTH Media with additional help from Smoke & Apple Films.

The Swamp Donkeys are a jazz quintet featuring Haruka Kikuchi on trombone, Miles Lyons on sousaphone, Josh Marotta on percussion, Connor Stewart on saxophone and James Williams on trumpet. The Swamp Donkeys play traditional jazz or "jass" from the 1900-1930s era, along with blues, vaudeville, original music and modern jazz adaptations. Their frontman James Williams, who sounds like Louis Armstrong, writes the songs with Sam Friend, the band's other front man.

The Swamp Donkeys' version of the Game of Thrones theme song, recorded during a performance at B.B. King's Blues Club in New York, went pulled in close to a million views on YouTube.

"Far, Far Away" was written by composer John Williams, no relation, that I know of, to James.
