Synopsis/Recap:

The episode begins in the middle of an all gun fight. It is near a bloodbath. The Army of God is claimed by one of the gunman as she shoots a man down. The man however, after sustaining multiple shots, smokes and then stands up. He's seemingly unharmed.

A helicopter deploys some soldiers to tranquilize the man who mysteriously lived through the gunshots and zip him up in a body bag.

Elsewhere it's 5 am wake up for Nagai who has a test that day. On the way to school, Nagai notices a guy named Kai who nods at him. Nagai's friends wonder if he's an "Ajin."

In class, an Ajin is described as an immortal being. The first one appeared in Africa 17 years ago, allegedly captured and taken to the U.S. There are two known Ajin in Japan. Nagai suddenly asks if Ajin are human, seemingly in response to the idea of capturing them.

On the bus to the hospital, Nagai watches the alleged Ajin experiment video. Nagai visits his sister Eri in the hospital who remembers when Nagai was good friends with Kai. His mom however made him stop playing with Kai. Even Eri doesn't want him to stop from becoming a good person.

Suddenly in his distracted walking, Nagai gets hit by a truck. Miraculously, Nagai is able to just get up from. It appears that Nagai is an Ajin. He runs away and then receives a call from Kai. He assures him everything will be okay. Kai arrives just in time to save Nagai from the police.

Suddenly, his photo is everywhere courtesy of the police, and it is an all out manhunt for him.
