Organized by a group of New York University undergrads, KASCON 27 will host some of the the world's most influential Koreans and Korean Americans working in a variety of fields to expand the potential of next-generation Korean-Americans. With a global focus, the conference seeks to connect students with industry leaders through keynote speeches, seminars, and networking events.

KASCON 27 will be held in New York City March 18-19 and the prominent guest list includes UCLA professor and world-renowned robot scientist Dennis Hong, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the United Nations Joon Oh, Elsevier chairman Y.S. Chi, healthcare startup Noom founder/CEO Saeju Jeong, ABC "Nightline" news anchor Juju Chang, 2018 PyeongChang Olympics Bid Committee Communications Director Theresa Rah, and Kenzo Co-Creative Director Carol Lim.

Epik High, a Korean hip-hop trio signed under YG Entertainment, will end the weekend conference with a live performance for the attendees.

"Epik High would definitely be chosen as one of the most influential artists that current Korean undergraduates have listened to growing up," KASCON 27 Executive Director Tae Young Woo explained. "The cultural status
of the Korean-American community has shifted immensely just within the past twenty years, and we wanted to invite artists who the future leaders of Korean background could all identify with."

KASCON is overseen by The Mirae Foundation, a 501(c)3nonprofit organization and was first held at Princeton University in 1987. It is America's largest and oldest ethnic student conference completely organized and run by college students.

Tickets for the conference went on sale Jan. 1 for current undergraduate students and more information can be found at the KASCON 27 official website.
