Synopsis/Recap:

The episode begins with Zen asking Shirayuki to go somewhere with him for the next break. She suggests shopping in Joka and he agrees.

Later, Zen tells Mitsuhide, Kiki, and Obi about their trip to Joka. They mention that it seems like a date since nobody is going with them, making Zen a bit uncomfortable. Obi also chastises Zen for not complimenting Shirayuki enough. Obi then asks Mitsuhide to give Zen an example and it winds up being pretty embarrassing - especially with the look that Kiki gives him.

As Zen leaves with Shirayuki, Mitsuhide remembers when Zen first asked him what a date was. At the meet-up point, Shirayuki waits for Zen with Obi and Ryu. Obi and Ryu head back to the castle and leave Zen and Shirayuki to their date.

Zen and Shirayuki search for a gift for Kiki and Mitsuhide and Zen then recalls when he first decided they would be a good pair. Zen had first had to get Kiki to relax more around him and be less traditional. Ultimately, Kiki and Mitsuhide were able to be less formal around each other.

Zen and Shirayuki head off to buy stationary next. Meanwhile, Mitsuhide and Obi are locked into a room by Kiki for talking about Mitsuhide going on a date with her. Zen and Shirayuki have lunch, and then Zen tells her he wants to buy something for her.

The pair go to a pendant and ornament store. He buys her a pendant and she thanks him. They hold hands as they walk through town. They head to a tower and then watch the sunset together.

Back at the castle, Zen gives presents to Kiki, Mitsuhide, and Obi. The gifts are unfortunately terrible.
