It’s week six (or seven) of the 2016 winter anime season and thus it is time to start making predictions about what is the best anime so far.

Unless of course you’re still catching up from fall, in which case, make sure you finish “One Punch Man.”

For the rest of us, the vote is in for Japanese fans and the “ERASED” anime series has been rated the best series in the 2016 Winter anime season. According to the Charapedia poll, the top three series this month are rounded off by “Durarara!! x2 Ketsu” and “Dagashi Kashi.”

Anime News Network reports the following top 20 anime series (must have premiered this season – cannot carry over from fall 2015) this winter, according to the Japanese fan poll.

When the polled fans were divided by gender, male anime fans voted “Konosuba – God’s Blessing on this wonderful world” as the best series, while female fans preferred “Assassination Classroom” season two. “ERASED” took the second and third spots per gender, leading to its overall number one position.

In terms of international fans, “ERASED” currently has a 4.9 out of 5 rating on Crunchyroll, with Anime News Network, Fandom Post, and our own publication putting out positive reviews of almost all of the episodes in the season so far. Though ANN’s international fan poll has yet to be completed, it’s clear that if you’re not watching “ERASED,” you’re missing out.
