Jun Ji-Hyun's comeback to drama makes a huge impact on SBS
Jun Ji-Hyun is a guarantee for success and SBS is really excited to have her back in a drama. Her total performance has given SBS the top viewership ratings on the Wednesday and Thursday night drama with "Legend of the Blue Sea."
Jun has been the SBS top actress in all of her three drama appearance. In 2014, she became the main star of the highly successful drama, "My Love from the Star." The drama started the craze of fried chicken and beer around the world.
Afterward, she went back to movie and starring in the movie "Assassination." The movie was inspired by Japanese Prime Minister Ito Hirobumi assassination by Korean independent movement activist An Jung-Geun in Harbin in 1909. Jun received the Best Actress award in 52nd Daejong Film Awards for her role in the "Assassination."
In the recent interview in the SBS "Entertainment Tonight" aired Dec. 6 as reported by Donga News, she revealed her exercise and workout routine to stay in shape. Her co-star Lee Min-Ho who appear on the show jokingly told her to stop working out.
"Legend of the Blue Sea" which put her and Lee Min-Ho in the same drama has created a multitude of their fans to watch the movie. Both Jun and Lee have a huge international fan base which benefits drama.
This can be seen with the Internet search, buzzwords and social media conversations about the drama. Based on the measurement from CPI (Content Power Index) the drama has garnered a huge amount of interest from fans around the world as reported by Korea Daily.
