Just recently, TIME had released their 'Top 10 Most Talked About Music Artists' for 2016 and unsurprisingly, K-Pop has managed to dominate the said list.

Truly K-Pop has spread far and wide, and it is not just Koreans or Asians who can witness the awesomeness that is Korean pop music, but the entire world as well. Social media along with throngs of dedicated fans played a great role in spreading the K-Pop fever across the globe. Now, it is safe to say that in social media, K-Pop is on par with many international superstars as proven by TIME Magazine's list.

It is a great win for K-Pop as SM Entertainment's famed boy group EXO top the whole list at no. 1. Being more than just heartthrobs, EXO is one of the most popular and most successful groups in the history of K-Pop and just a few days ago; the highly respected group just won big at the recently held Mnet Asian Music Awards. EXO is also 2016's top idol group with their album "Ex'act" making them triple million album sellers.

BTS too placed significantly on the list but not as a group as reported by Koreaboo. BTS's Jimin was placed as the second most talked about artist of 2016 and with his amazing vocals and incredible dance moves, it is not that surprising. Two other BTS members Jin & Jungkook had also received overwhelming love on social media as they each place at numbers 9 and 10. It truly is an incredible year for BTS!

Prince and David Bowie's deaths had also made them one of the most talked about music stars placing them at numbers. 3 and 5 respectively while international superstar Justin Bieber places at the number. 4. According to TIME Magazine, One Direction's disbandment also earned them a place at the number. 6 while Beyonce, being "Queen B," places at number. 8.

Last but not the least, BamBam of GOT7 takes the seventh spot for the most talked about music artist of 2016 owing to his wit and charming personality.
