Minwoo Predicts BTS as the Next Shinhwa, Compliments them for their Passion

If there is one group in k-pop that most idols look up to, it would definitely be Shinhwa. A lot of k-pop groups have elevated Shinhwa as the group that they want to emulate which isn't at all that surprising since Shinha has been in the business for about 19 years now and a big part of that longevity is because of the relationship, loyalty and teamwork each member has for the group.

But as much as k-pop groups would want to be like Shinhwa, only time will tell if they can actually pull it off and right now, people can just guess which k-pop groups will still be active in the future. But for Shinhwa member Lee Min Woo, one group in particular may have the potential to survive as long as Shinhwa in the game.

In a recent interview, Allkpop reports that Min Woo acknowledged Big Hit Entertainment's premier group, BTS. When he was asked which group he thinks would be able to follow in Shinhwa's footsteps, he replied,

"Personally, I believe BTS can do it.  I used to work with their choreographer and when I heard he was working with a new group, I paid them a visit and that was when I was first introduced to BTS. Back then, they didn't have a formal group greeting so I suggested that they make one because they would definitely need it in the future. Fortunately, they did."

"Afterwards, I would then meet Jungkook on 'Celebrity Bromance' and there I noticed how passionate BTS was and so I predicted that they would do well in the industry and I was right. I feel so proud of them and it's the first time since 2PM that I felt something like this for another boy group."

According to Soompi, Shinhwa had just recently released their 13th album on January 2.

Stay tuned for Shinhwa's music video for "Touch" which will drop on January 6.
