When it comes to your favorite k-pop idols, you can never really trust their appearance to determine their age. There is an existing stereotype that Asians look younger than they actually are and with k-pop idols, this seems to be quite true.

Many fans have already fallen prey to their idols' actual ages and to help you out a bit, here are some popular k-pop idols whose appearances defy their actual ages, courtesy of Koreaboo.

G-DRAGON (BIGBANG)

Would you believe that G-Dragon is actually 28 years old? The multitalented k-pop icon was actually born on 1988 although he still looks as youthful as ever. 28 is also definitely not old by Asian standards. Just recently, G-Dragon had appeared on the SBS Gayo Daejun in a collaborative performance with label mate CL, rappers BewhY and Okasian. He also performed with the rest of BIGBANG, Allkpop reports.

TAEYEON (GIRLS' GENERATION)

Fans of Girls' Generation know that the group's leader Taeyeon is actually 28 years old but you wouldn't notice that because she looks younger than she actually is. This may be attributed to her small build and cute image but still, looks definitely are deceiving in the world of k-pop.

ONEW (SHINee)

SHINee's Onew has a lot in common with Taeyeon. They're both extremely talented leaders of their group, they're both part of SM Entertainment and they were both born on 1989 which means that Onew is also 28! What a shocker!

SUNGGYU (INFINITE)

Sunggyu is also the leader of his own group, INFINITE and was also born on 1989. However, if you look at him, you might think he had just made his debut.

NICHKUN (2PM)

Nichkun maybe famously known for his baby-face and youthful features but he is the same age as G-Dragon!

XIUMIN (EXO)

Oh Sehun is EXO's maknae but most of the time, it is Xiumin who is often mistaken as the youngest member of their group. The funny thing though is that Xiumin is actually EXO's oldest member!

But aside from looking young, some k-pop idols look older than they look. Here are some of them.

SEUNGRI (BIGBANG)

The youngest member of BIGBANG at 26 years old, Seungri is often mistaken as the oldest member.

JUNHOE (iKON)

Junhoe is the second youngest member of iKON and is currently 19 years old. While he may still be in his teens, he certainly doesn't look like it.

JUNGKOOK (BTS)

The maknae of the boy group BTS, Jungkook is only 19 years old and like Junhoe, his age is overshadowed by his manly features.
