Somi Reveals Her Love for Caffeine Started In 5th Grade Thanks To Her Dad
Somi made a guest appearance in an episode of MBC's "My Little Television" live broadcast on March 11. She later revealed that she started drinking coffee since fifth grade.
Somi made another guest appearance during the March 11 live broadcast of "My Little Television". Somi titled her broadcast as "Som Som's Bucket List" where she once again talked about things on her bucket list.
According to Koreaboo, Somi revealed in the broadcast that she wanted to tick-off "meeting a monkey in person" in her list. Unfortunately, there is a risk of Bird Flu and Hand-Foot Disease present in monkeys that's why Somi is unable to experience this.
However, Somi did tick one item off of her list, which is to "become a barista". She then revealed that she started drinking coffee starting in the 5th grade!
"Back in 5th grade, my dad started drinking a cup of coffee in the mornings with breakfast, so I started drinking some too," said Somi in the broadcast. She even added that her hair condition would become severe every time she drank coffee.
Somi and her family's love for coffee can be seen in an Instagram video posted by her sister, Evelyn Douma. In the video, Evelyn can be seen grinding coffee in her great-grandmother's coffee grinder and also expressed her love for it.
In a previous report, Somi also appeared in My Little Television's episode aired on March 4. She was joined with her father, Matthew Douma, as they ticked off "trying an unusual food" in Somi's bucket list.
Somi pulled out one bag of dried grasshoppers and another bag that contained dried mealworms. Matthew then took a mouthful of dried grasshoppers which he immediately regretted afterwards.
Somi then tried the dried mealworms and revealed that it tasted like fish jerky. Seo Yuri got curious and tried one for herself and verified Somi's statement.
Somi also collaborated with Eric Nam in his digital single titled "You, Who?" released on Thursday, March 9. The MV for the song currently has more than one million views.
