Mark, NCT’s Talent Says ‘High School Rapper’ Provided Motivation and Improved His Skills

Mark of NCT was reportedly interviewed in Apr.2 wherein he talked about his experience while competing in the show "High School Rapper." Accordingly, he was able to show the other side of him in just the first two months. He also added that it was an amazing opportunity for him to be on that show.

Mark further said that this is his last year in high school so this is his chance to express his thoughts and feelings as a student. He accordingly joined the show to learn something and truly the program apparently did improve his skills. "I will look back on this experience as a memorable time in my life when I felt new emotions and was challenged by new experiences," he reportedly said.

All throughout the program Mark reportedly proved his capabilities as a rapper, according to Soompi. He allegedly did not commit mistakes and was consistently improving as the show progressed. As a result, he advanced to the final round of the competition.

The young rapper also said that he enjoyed the company of his peers, especially those who shares his passion for music. Apparently, both the friendship and fierce competition have given him the motivation. "From now on, I want to take more risks and attempt a wider genre of music," Mark said.

While doing his obligation for NCT 127 and NCT DREAM, Mark is also competing on "High School Rapper." His busy schedule did reportedly put him at a disadvantage. However, he apparently was able to withstand the competition by practicing in between breaks.

Mark's hometown is Vancouver, Canada. In Jan. 24, according to Allkpop, a short video clip of the rapper watching the snow from a window was uploaded on NCT's Facebook page. He was shown in the clip staring out the window silently. And when the cameraman asked him if it is nice to watch the snow, he allegedly answered he wants to see Canada.
