Amber’s TOUR X began on January 17th in Fresno, California, and she’s been making her way across the country and making North American fans fall for her with shows left and right and (hopefully!) near you!

We’ve curated questions based off of Amber Liu’s discography, and in between the hustle and bustle of going on tour and being the most charming person ever, she sat down and responded on everything from self-love to boba. Take a look at Amber’s answers below!

What advice can you share with someone still on their journey to self-love?
Amber: Take it a day at a time.

Ready For The Ride
What are your top 5 necessary items to have when traveling?
Amber: Q-tips, floss, XXXtra Hot Cheetos, gummy bears/worms, Arizona Green Tea.

Hands Behind My Back
Is there anything currently holding you back in your career? What do you wish could change?
Amber: I think [it’s] myself. Whether it’s my fears or even my over ambitiousness, I tend to catch myself wasting time on thinking about things that aren’t in my control. Still working on it!

Other People
What’s something about you that other people could never replace?
Amber: My love for boba!

Who’s your favorite person – and what about them could never be replaced?
Amber: My older sister Jackie. She’s crazy but gets me and has helped me though a lot of things.

Curiosity
You have the chance to interview anyone of your choice. Who would it be and what would you ask?
Amber: TORI KELLY!! My question to her would be... “Why are you so awesome and cool?”

Numb
Would you rather have your emotions and not your sense of touch, or have your sense of touch but no emotions? Why?
Amber: Have emotions, no sense of touch. [Cause] what’s the point of touching things if you can’t technically feel anything? Lol, plus I’ll have other senses to rely on.

Stay Calm
When you’re going through a difficult time, what words of comfort do you say to yourself?
Amber: Breathe.

Shake That Brass
What’s your go-to signature dance move?
Amber: It’s been this: like a side to side rock with my hands in a “hang loose” sign. And for some reason, I have my tongue out and a stupid look on my face.

Get Over it
What is one thing you’ll never get over?
Amber: How cute my dog JackJack is.

Three Million Years
What is something you can have or do for three million years and still not get enough of? (Food, an activity, a feeling, etc)
Amber: XXXtra Hot Cheetos and Arizona Green Tea.

Countdown
What are you currently counting down to?
Amber: When I can finally have an off day, when there’s no need for a morning alarm, lol.

Borders
What has been the most difficult border to cross in the past?
Amber: Realizing I can’t please everyone and I can’t be perfect.

What is another border you want to cross in the future?
Amber: Hopefully, just becoming a better person.

Lost at Sea
What’s your survival strategy if you were to be lost at sea?
Amber: Learn to catch fish like in the animated Mulan movie.

White Noise
What is your go-to song when you want to clear your mind?
Amber: The cover of “More than anything” by my friend Arden Cho. It’s my morning drive song. Great song to start my day.

Get Myself
What fears have you outgrown? What current fears do you want to get over?
Amber: I used to be really scared of talking to people. I think I’m doing good on that now. Fears now... def heights and magnified photos of insects :/

High Hopes
What are your hopes for 2020 – the new year, and the new decade?
Amber: Just want to rebuild and restart personally and professionally. Maybe get another puppy friend for JackJack. We’ll see how ready I am maternally, haha.

Amber: JACKHAMMER!!

Hot Summer
We’re in the midst of winter right now, but what’s your favorite summer activity?
Amber: Just having outings with friends. Beach, parks, everything. Plus everyone is in the mood to enjoy the sun.

Any words for your fans?
Amber: Love you all so much and a billion trillion thank yous!!!
