BLACKPINK’s Comeback 2020: Are you ready for a New BLACKPINK in your Area?

It has been months since YG Entertainment, the agency of the popular girl group BLACKPINK, announced that the group would be having their comeback supposed to be last 2019. However, due to some issues faced by YG itself, the release of the album has been moved, leading to some fans to express their disbelief.

Earlier this 2020, YG released a statement regarding their future plans for their artists, and this includes plans for BLACKPINK, saying,

"BLACKPINK is set to have their comeback earlier this year."

The anticipation of fans and netizens then rise again, though, the statement was followed by "the exact release date is to be announced yet."

Following this statement, fans are not happy with the unreliable press release. This then causes BLINKs and other supporters of the groups to organize and have a physical rally in front of YG as well as to provide banner trucks, demanding proper treatment to the BLACKPINK members.

YG Entertainment then responded with another statement assuring fans that BLACKPINK is already on their finale recordings, and to be able to repay fans after waiting for a long time, YG stated that they would make sure as well as the female idols to provide good music after collaborating with Universal Music.

However, netizens and fans are still not satisfied. Some fans are waiting for the exact date release of the album, but YG can't provide it. It is only reported that the possible month of release is between March and April, to be followed by a World Tour.

"Instead of making them have another tour, why not invest in multiple comebacks instead, one song a year won't make much of a difference at their concert.", said user @dason.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK consisting of four members: Jennie, Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo, had their last comeback last year, with an EP. last April 2019, releasing their hit, "Kill This Love." The group has already released several EP. Mini-albums, Japanese release though a full-album is still a dream for fans ad netizens. With these, fans are hoping for a full-album comeback this time.

"Please let it become a full album this time. All we ask is a full album with lots of new songs. They rarely got comebacks, but when they do, it's barely new. [...] This time, it's going to be big since YG Entertainment does not seem to be in the best situation with all these scandals." User @FNBY1010

On the other hand, as fans are waiting for the girl group's comeback, BLACKPINK is currently on their final leg of their World Tour 2019-2020, wherein they have already performed 32 concerts on four continents, and in 23 cities.

BLACKPINK is set to have their final performance this February 22, which will be held at Yahoo Auctions Dome Fukuoka.

Nevertheless, throughout their performances, despite having few songs since their debut, BLACKPINK is still rocking their stages and the crowd, proving their massive influence around the world.
