Cha Eun Woo recently appeared in "Master of the House," where he revealed he wanted to win the rookie award on the SBS Entertainment Awards.
On June 14, Sunday, the SBS Entertainment program "Master of the House" aired the episode featuring Cha Eun Woo with Uhm Jong Hwa as the masters of the house, known to be the "Madonna of Korea."
In the episode, the members brought in trophies they received before meeting the master. Upon seeing all the trophies, Cha Eun Woo said, "There are so many great awards here, but the one I want the most is the SBS Entertainment Awards' Rookie Award. I think it will be the most meaningful."
He added that he had never won the rookie award as a singer, saying, "I've never won the rookie award as an idol. That's why I'm aiming for the Rookie of the Year award."
Upon hearing this, Shin Sung Rok, who is best known for his work in "The Last Empress," expressed his desire for the rookie award as well. He said, "I've never won the Rookie of the Year award either."
Cha Eun Woo, whose real name is Lee Dong Min, is a South Korean singer, actor, and model under Fantagio Entertainment. In 2016, he debuted with the boy group ASTRO.
In 2017, he was cast in the KBS2 drama "Hit The Top." That is not his first acting gig, though - he originally debuted as an actor with a minor role in the movie "My Brilliant Life." Other than his works with ASTRO, Cha Eun Woo is best known for his works in dramas "Gangnam Beauty" and "Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung."
Despite Cha Eun Woo saying that ASTRO has not won a rookie award, they have been the recipients of the Rookie of the Year awards at the SBS Power FM Cultwo Show Awards in 2016.
