JYPE to Take Legal Action Against Malicious Comments on GOT7 Youngjae
JYP Entertainment has announced their position regarding GOT7 member Youngjae's alleged school bullying. They have stated they have met with the alleged victim and will be taking legal action against malicious comments made against the artist.
On October 22 KST, JYP Entertainment announced that they have met with the original poster who accused Youngjae of school violence. They revealed that the writer stood by what they posted online, but failed to provide any evidence to support that Youngjae was the perpetrator of school violence.
With that, they have decided to stick by their artist, announcing that they will be taking strict legal action against any slanderous comments, false information, and additional rumors made against Youngjae without any evidence.
JYP Entertainment released a statement. Their statement reads:
"Hello. This is JYP Entertainment. We are here to update everything concerning the recent controversy concerning our artist Youngjae.
We were able to meet with the individual 'A' who first made the post online about Youngjae. While 'A' continued to claim the same things they made in their community post, they were unable to provide us with any evidence that could suggest Youngja engaged in school bullying.
We are here to announce that we will be taking strict legal action against any derogatory, defaming comments, as well as the spread of false rumors, involving the incident and future incidents that mock our artists' character with no evidence.
Thank you."
Previously, it was reported that an online user of a community forum claimed that Youngjae was a school bully. The user had stated they were hearing impaired and intellectually handicapped and had gone to school with Youngjae in Mokpo Technical High School. The user accused Youngjae of beating him up and extorting money from him.

After looking into the issue, JYP Entertainment announced that during his school years, Youngjae did experience disagreements with the said victim and that the two had a physical altercation and were never able to reconcile. However, the rest of the details the poster said in their post was false.
The poster had claimed to email JYP Entertainment, but the company did not receive an email or any form of contact from them.
Korean netizens are siding with JYP Entertainment and Youngjae after it was discovered the poster had deleted their posts. Their last, now-deleted post, featured a JYP Entertainment business card. They claimed they went to the agency building and spilled their truth in a meeting room. They also promised to investigate, gather evidence, and find out the truth. They apologized for not having proper evidence to back up their claims.
With the post now deleted, people questioned why he was unable to provide proof that they were disabled and that they had attended Mokpo Technical High School with Youngjae at the same time. Many also mentioned how "investigating" and "finding out the truth" was odd, as they were the ones to accuse Youngjae in the first place. People are saying that over all, it does not add up.
