GOT7 Talks About Being Romantic and What Music Genres They Want to Write
GOT7 has recently made a comeback with their new album "Breath of Love: Last Piece," which features its two title tracks "Breath" and "Last Piece." In light of their return to the K-Pop scene, the boy group took part in a Q&A session.
On Dec. 3, GOT7 sat down for an interview to answer several questions, and one of them was about their opinion is when they hear the word "romantic." JB answered that being romantic means respecting each other, whether it's a lover or those you have a relationship with generally. "Maybe how much you think of that person is important," he said.
In Mark's opinion, being romantic is when one feels happiness just by being together, even if no one is saying anything. "It's similar to the feeling when we see our fans," he said. For Youngjae, the idea of romance is when he buys flowers and nice clothes for her mom since she is also a woman. Meanwhile, Bambam stated that romantic feelings can be felt from anyone from their particular charms and that he thinks that honest actions are the most romantic.
And as for Jinyoung, being romantic is when one can respond to any situation smoothly, while Yugyeom said that it is about being considerate and sincere to another person.
Another question given to them during the interview was what genres or topics they would like to deal with in the future. GOT7's JB shared that he wants to tell a variety of stories. "I want to talk about various feelings, not only about love. It could be despair, or it could be joy," he added.
Youngjae revealed that he wants to try writing ballad songs. The subject will be about real-life stories, while Jinyoung said that he would like to write about something that would remind listeners about a particular moment that happened before. Mark then disclosed that there are many topics on his mind that he would like to write one day if he is given an opportunity.
During the interview, GOT7 members were also asked to share the hobbies they want to suggest to their fans. JB said that he's recently into animation, so he recommends watching animated movies or series. Jinyoung then suggested swimming by explaining, "It is a difficult sport, but you are focused on moving that you can't think of anything else." Meanwhile, other suggestions of the members are playing games (from Mark), building blocks (from Youngjae), and exercising (from Bambam).
GOT7 is currently promoting their fourth full album "Breath of Love: Last Piece" which is unlike the group's previous releases as the new album is more meaningful since all members participated in writing the songs. Youngjae and JB penned the title tracks "Breath" and "Last Piece," respectively.
Jinyoung took part in writing and composing of "WAVE," while Mark worked on "Born Ready" as the co-writer and co-composer. Bambam co-wrote and co-composed "Waiting for You," while Yugyeom participated in writing the lyrics and composing of "Now I'll Do It." Meanwhile, Jackson was credited for the lyrics writing, composition, and arrangement of "SPECIAL."
