Korean singer-songwriter BUDY kicks off her weekly series "BUDY Studio Live" with a live performance of her 2019 single "Do Re Mi," Dec. 17.

Set on a stage with warmly lit backgrounds, BUDY appears in a printed dress and accompanied by her band in matching white outfits. Her jazzy performance of "Do Re Mi" is a perfect debut for her limited "Studio Live" series, which fans can watch every Thursday at 9:00 PM KST. She will be releasing a new live performance every week, up until January 2021.

This new project marks the South Korean artist's latest effort to stay connected with her fans, offering a welcoming experience in the middle of social distancing because of the pandemic. Fans can expect BUDY's old songs, including those from her debut album "BUDY's Midnight," brought back to life in a new and refreshing way. Of course, she will later include her 2020 songs such as "Stray Cat," "A Week," and "Fly High."

BUDY manages to breathe new life into her 2019 R&B/ Soul banger, with a timely message for the current generation. In the lyrics for "Do Re Mi," the singer espouses the fun of making and finding your own sound, with the beat of the instruments. The song tells its listeners that it is okay to move at your own pace, especially if you're having fun.

"I really enjoyed working on the song 'Do Re Mi,'" BUDY said in a statement before the performance. She explains that in the lyrics, she acknowledges not being "able to go faster than others" and not being far yet. "But I am enjoying my journey," she noted.

"It's an exciting song, starting with the clarinet playing. Please enjoy 'Studio Live' with me," she added.

BUDY has become known for her unique writing and arrangement. In the middle of the K-Pop global wave, she bravely pens her own songs and creates covers of popular hits with musical elements of R&B, soul, jazz, and funk. She recently released her new single-album, "Fly High," last December 3 - which was also a hopeful track with pop, urban, and soul elements.
