BTOB Hyunsik's 'Lovestagrams' with Stylist Resurfaces Online In Light of Ilhoon's Marijuana Controversy
Following the marijuana controversy of BTOB's Ilhoon, a different scandal that involves another BTOB member, Hyunsik in particular, is gaining attention once again.
A few days ago, it was reported that BTOB's Ilhoon was under investigation for purchasing and using marijuana with his peers for the past four to five years. And it was recently revealed that the idol had spent more than 90,000 USD after examining the transaction details. Since then, BTOB has become a hot topic among netizens.
Recently, BTOB"s Hyunsik's alleged "lovestagram" resurfaced in a popular Korean online community. A series of photos of a social media account belonging to the singer's assumed girlfriend was uploaded. According to the post, both Hyunsik and the girl are following each other on Instagram. In fact, it was revealed back then that Hyunsik was the only BTOB member who is following the girl.
Images showing instances in which the two of them have the same items were also posted. Some of the pictures show BTOB's Hyunsik and his alleged girlfriend using the same phone case and wearing the same pants. Some shots display the time when BTOB members Hyunsik and Ilhoon had a vacation in Japan. It turned out that the girl was also with them.
One photo shows BTOB"s Ilhoon post in which he is holding a lobster roll as he sits beside two unknown people, one wearing checkered while the other one sporting pink. The other image presented the two people walking together, with one of them assumed to be Hyunsik. Coincidentally, Ilhoon captioned the picture of himself, "Lobstergram," which appears to be "lovestagram" and as if he is pertaining to Hyunsik and the girl.
Aside from that, BTOB's Hyunsik and the supposed girlfriend uploaded pictures of the same exhibit around the same time on Instagram. The two of them even made a separate post about the same song. According to the netizen who posted the photos, the alleged girlfriend is speculated to be BTOB's stylist.
Other netizens flocked to the post and left comments that show their mixed reactions about the controversy. Some claimed that this scandal took place over three years ago. BTOB's Hyunsik and his agency Cube Entertainment are yet to address the matter.
Meanwhile, BTOB's Hyunsik is currently serving in the military along with his bandmate Sungjae. The two of them enlisted this past May. Ilhoon also started to become an active-duty soldier in the same month this year. Recently, BTOB held a mini-reunion. Some of the members posted a series of photos via their personal Instagram accounts, showing Eunkwang, Minhyuk, Peniel, Changsub, Sungjae, and Hyunsik in one place.
On top of that, BTOB 4U members Eunkwang, Minhyuk, Peniel, and Changsub joined Sungjae for a performance at a recent military band concert. At the event, they sang their 2017 song "Missing You," as well as the title track of BTOB 4U's album "Show Your Love," surprising fans.
BTOB's Hyunsik and Sungjae are scheduled to be discharged from the military late next year, while Ilhoon in early 2022.
