"HWAA" was released on Jan. 11, 2021, by CUBE Entertainment and republic records as the title track of (G)I-DLE's fourth mini-album "I burn." The song was written by member and leader Soyeon and was co-produced by Pop Time.

"HWAA" is a break-up song that gives off the chilly and bitter feeling of the cold winter. The song talks about blooming into a colorful flower after feeling the pain and burn of a heartache. The song is a continuation of their 2018 release "HANN." Soyeon told Korea Economic daily that she wanted to tell the story of the song like a novel.

The much-anticipated comeback was well-loved by most fans. However, after analyzing the song's line distribution, it was discovered that Shuhua got the least amount of lines. She only got 3.9 seconds of lines, while Soyeon got 37.3 seconds, meaning they have a 33.4-second difference. Even the member with the second least amount of lines, Soojin, was able to surpass the 10-second mark with 16.8 seconds of lines.

Upset with the lack of lines and screen time the Taiwanese idol got, Shuhua's Chinese fan club released an official statement saying they were halting all album orders until Shuhua receives equal treatment.

Their whole statement reads:

"Hello. We are (G)I-DLE Shuhua's Chinese fan club.

We are sorry that we have come to this decision and we hope that everyone will be understanding. Since we opened our fan club, we have always supported CUBE Entertainment and never skipped on buying albums. Even when we did not have enough people, we participated in supporting the girl's most recent comeback. We even held an event in the fan club to encourage fans to buy the album.

However, at 5 PM Beijing time, we were extremely disappointed to see that Shuhua only received 3.9 seconds for her solo part and 17 seconds in the official music video.

This situation is very embarrassing to us fans We believe that the company should prepare fairly for the sake of the growth of all their artists. However, it appears the agency has not done their due diligence to take care of Shuhua and has instead decreased her solo lines after (G)I-DLE's 'Oh my god' era and have not given much care to her make-up as well.

Chinese fans think this kind of scenario is pathetic. Until the agency responds to our demands accordingly, we will be putting a stop to all album orders starting today and will continue to support Shuhua personally. We will not return to order albums until Shuahua receives the parts she deserves."
