AHGASEs, rejoice! GOT7 Mark is scheduled to launch a new song!

On Jan. 19, exclusive contracts of all GOT7 members with JYP Entertainment have officially concluded after seven years. And now, the boys will be going on their own paths, achieving more dreams individually, and doing the things they have been wanting to do.

On Jan. 21 at 3:00 p.m. KST, GOT7 Mark uploaded the very first video of his YouTube channel although it was not an official content but a short celebration. The male idol has just hit the one million subscriber mark on the platform without even posting a single video. He expressed his gratitude to the fans for subscribing. He then promised he will be uploading videos soon.

GOT7 also took the time to give the fans an update on what he will be doing. And he revealed that he collaborated on a single with Sanjoy, an American musician and EDM producer who mainly focuses on the EDM genre. Titled "One in a Million," the collaboration song is set to be released on Feb. 12. The rapper has also shared the pre-save link in the description of his first YouTube video so fans can be notified immediately once the song is officially out.

Considering this, Mark becomes the first GOT7 member to release new music after the boy group's departure from JYP Entertainment, assuming that no other GOT7 member will launch something new before him.

The title of the song may seem familiar to many GOT7 fans or AHGASEs as Mark has already teased the single last year. During an Instagram live of the male idol between late September and early October, he shared that he is working on a new song and asked the fans if they want spoilers. He then asked them if they want to hear the first verse of the chorus part, and the fans chose the second.

But ahead of the giving some spoilers during the live broadcast in October, GOT7 Mark first teased the fans on his new song back in July 2020. He posted the chorus part as well via his personal Instagram account and it gained 1.5 million views. While the K-pop idol gave a spoiler about the new song, Sanjoy gave hints on the collaboration in September 2020. He uploaded a few photos to his personal Instagram account that shows him and GOT7 Mark together, with the first image hinting that they are working on something.

Mark Tuan, mononymously called Mark, is an American singer, rapper, songwriter, and model based in South Korea. He is the visual and the lead rapper of the world-renowned boy band GOT7.

Apart from his activities as part of the group, he also carried out solo activities. Back in September 2018, Mark released his very first Korean solo track titled "OMW," which features his fellow GOT7 member Jackson. The music video for the song was dropped on September 13 of the same year and it became the first MV from a JYPE idol to hit one million views on Naver.
