GOT7's leader, JB, has officially opened his personal YouTube channel and has achieved a milestone without any video as thousands of fans gave him support.

In mid-January, before GOT7 left JYP Entertainment, some fans discovered a YouTube channel called "Def. Exhibition," which they believe to be owned by GOT7 JB as the channel name is related to the male idol. But the singer later clarified that he is not on YouTube yet.

But now, GOT7 JB has launched his official YouTube channel called "JAE BEOM LIM." On Feb. 3, he uploaded his first video titled "THX. MY Best Friends!" in which he expressed his gratitude to the fans for subscribing to his channel. With his bare face, JB also says:

"Hello, everyone. It's GOT7 JB. I've started my YouTube channel. I don't have any clear plans yet for what I'll do, but while showing you different sides of myself, I'll be communicating with you and sharing plenty of good content. So please look forward to it a lot. And I hope you'll show lots of love to JB, GOT7, and Def (his producer name). Thank you. Peace out!"

In the description of the post, the idol wrote, "I'll be deleting this video when I post a new video."

GOT7 JB Instantly Gained Thousands of YouTube Subscribers

As of Feb. 4, the GOT7 member's channel has already surpassed 350,000 subscribers. Without any video, the artist gained 100,000 subscribers, earning him a silver YouTube play button in less than a day.

JB is now the second GOT7 member to attain such a remarkable award and to open his personal YouTube channel, with the first one being Mark.

Previously, the male idol opened his personal Twitter account. This means that GOT7 JB will be more active in social media now that he has left JYP Entertainment. In particular, he recently had an Instagram live to take the time to communicate with the fans. During the live broadcast, he clarified that GOT7 didn't disband despite all members not renewing their exclusive contracts with JYP Entertainment and signing with different agencies.

GOT7 JB's Activities under JYP Entertainment

Lim Jaebeom, commonly known by his stage name, JB, is the leader of the South Korean boy band, GOT7, which made its debut in January 2014. Before he became part of the boy group, he first debuted as a member of the JJ Project along with his fellow trainee and now fellow GOT7 member, Jinyoung. JJ Project is a duo formed by JYP Entertainment in 2012.

Additionally, he first took on an acting challenge before he made his debut as a singer. In 2011, he was cast in the role of Jang Woo Jae in the television show, "Dream High 2." Jinyoung was also included in this drama. In 2015, JB and his fellow GOT7 members starred in a virtual musical television drama titled "Dream Knight."

In March 2019, JB, along with his bandmate Yugyeom, debuted as Jus2, a sub-unit of GOT7. The duo released its first extended play, titled "Focus," which contains the lead single "Focus on Me." In October 2020, he held his first photo exhibition, "Alone."
