BLACKPINK Surpasses Another YouTube Record with 'BOOMBAYAH'
BLACKPINK continues to break records after records, which proves that they are the biggest girl group in recent times. On Thursday, Feb. 4, Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo and Lisa achieves another feat with their hit single titled "BOOMBAYAH."
BLACKPINK Surpasses 1.1 Billion Views on YouTube with 'BOOMBAYAH'
BLINKs have another reason to celebrate after BLACKPINK surpassed the 1.1. billion views mark on YouTube with their popular track "BOOMBAYAH." YG Entertainment, on its official Twitter account, thanked all avid followers of Jennie, Lisa, Rose and Jisoo for helping them to reach such as milestone.
The official music video of "BOOMBAYAH" was dropped on Aug. 8, 2016, which was among the first tracks that Jennie, Lisa, Rose and Jisoo released following their debut as a quartet. As of press time, the said video has also garnered more than 10 million likes and more than 975,000 comments.
BLACKPINK's "BOOMBAYAH" got more than 1.1 billion views on YouTube already.

In January, BLACKPINK also surpassed the 500 million views mark on YouTube with their dance performance clip for the track called "How You Like That." The official music video of the said song also collected more than 18 million likes and more than 3.9 million comments on the video streaming platform.
Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo and Rosé ended 2020 with a bang when the official music video of "Whistle" collected more than 600 million views on YouTube. Other popular BLACKPINK tracks with the most views include "DU DDU DU DU" with more than 2 billion views, "Kill This Love" with more than 1.5 billion views, "Playing with Fire" with more than 800 million views, "Ice Cream" with more than 800 million views, "Stay" with more than 300 million views and "Pretty Savage" with more than 300 million views.
BLACKPINK Adds Gigi Hadid as One of Their Celebrity Fans
Meanwhile, BLINKs were quick to react on Gigi Hadid's Instagram story where the model appeared to be wearing a shirt from the group's In Your Area Merch. Some fans were able to screenshot the Instagram Story and posted it on Twitter.
In the screenshots, Gigi Hadid was seen having her beauty regimen as she prepares herself to sleep. The ladylove of Zayn Malik, at the time, sported a black-colored shirt with the word "BLACKPINK" printed on it. The faces of Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé were also imprinted in the shirt.

Though the BFF of Kendall Jenner did not mention BLACKPINK in her story, it was not the first that that she shown some love for the "Lovesick Girls" singers. Avid followers of Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo and Rosé have previously pointed out that Gigi Hadid has liked photos of the South Korean girl group on Instagram. The mom of one even "double tapped" a photo of the quartet that was shared by Ariana Grande.
Aside from Gigi Hadid, other popular celebrities who adore BLACKPINK include Dua Lipa, Ariana Grande, Harry Styles, Halsey, James Corden, Diplo, Kendall Jenner, Hailey Baldwin-Bieber, Pharell and Jaden Smith. LANY frontman Paul Klein also revealed that Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo and Rosé are some of the "sweetest girls" he has ever met.
