BTS' Agency Condemned for Making a Huge Mistake Recently

Chinese netizens were displeased after Big Hit Entertainment utilized a map that indicated South Tibet as part of India. China is said to be claiming territorial sovereignty of the southern part of Tibet, which covers the middle reaches of the Yarlung Tsangpo River Valley between Mainling Country to the east and the Himalayas to the west.

One source pointed out that the world map blurred in the background of the Big Hit Entertainment's 2020 financial report is incorrect. He, then, asked the talent agency of BTS to change it right away.

Others claimed that South Korean online platform Naver should be called out for featuring the map on its portal. Some avid followers of BTS shared that the incident made them recall the remarks of Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, J-Hope, RM, V and Suga about the Korean War in October 2020.

Earlier this week, Big Hit Entertainment revealed that it has recorded a whooping 44% increase in its operating profit, 19% increase in its net profit, and 36% overall increase in its revenue last year despite the present global health crisis. It went on to say that the solid business structure of the company, coupled with the constant growth of its artists and continuous expansion of its business, is the primary contributor to the agency's successes in the last few months.
