BLACKPINK Rosé Set to Appear on 'The Kelly Clarkson Show'

BLACKPINK Rosé will be the first K-pop soloist to guest on "The Kelly Clarkson Show"!

"The Kelly Clarkson Show" is an NBC TV daytime variety talk show in the United States that is hosted by three-time Grammy award winner and American singer Kelly Clarkson. This is show is one of the most popular TV programs in the country. Not to mention, it earned a few awards before for its outstanding performance.

Over the years, global superstars such as Dua Lipa, Christina Aguilera, Dwayne Johnson, John Legend, and Nick Jonas have appeared. And these days, K-pop idols have also been guesting on the talk show one after another.

BLACKPINK Rosé to Guest on "The Kelly Clarkson Show"

On March 27, YG Entertainment officially announced that BLACKPINK Rosé will be making her appearance on the famous American talk show next show. The "On The Ground" singer will be guesting on the March 29 episode of "The Kelly Clarkson Show," where host Kelly Clarkson will ask her questions regarding her successful solo debut and her first single album "R."

While other K-pop groups such as MONSTA X and SEVENTEEN have guested on the program in the past, BLACKPINK Rosé will be the first K-pop soloist to appear on the NBC show.

Earlier this month, the "Gone" singer made her appearance as the musical guest on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon." This marked the first time the BLACKPINK member appeared as a soloist on the late-night program. Rosé previously guested on the show along with her fellow members in June 2020.

Additionally, her appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" made her the first-ever K-pop soloist to perform on the program. She sang her solo debut track "On The Ground" on U.S. television for the first.

BLACKPINK Rosé, who made her highly-anticipated solo debut on March 12, is setting brilliant records on major global charts. Recently, she has become the first-ever K-pop soloist to rank at No. 1 on Billboard's Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. at the same time.

Rosé has also attained the highest ranking on the Billboard Hot 100 for K-pop soloists. "On the Ground" claimed the No. 70 spot on the said chart, beating CL's "Lifted," which ranked 94th in 2016.

Moreover, BLACKPINK Rosé has broken the record of the highest first-week sales for female K-pop soloists with his first-day album sales.

Eventually, she has set a new record in terms of the highest album sales in the first week.

Hanteo Chart announced on March 24 that Rosé's single album "R" has sold 448,089 copies in the first week of its release - this includes CDs and KiT versions only.

Other than this, Rosé's "R" was also the best-selling album for the third week of March (March 14-20). The single album successfully sold a total of 314,706 copies since the physical album was launched on March 16. Hence, Rosé' topped the Gaon Weekly Retail Album Chart in that week.
