SM Entertainment Drops Highly-Awaited Music Video for EXO Baekhyun's Solo Comeback "Bambi"

On Mar. 30, SM Entertainment finally released the music video for Baekhyun's much-anticipated solo comeback, "Bambi!" The track is the lead single off his third mini-album of the same name.

In the music video, we see Baekhyun both rugged, in a leather jacket, and classy with a suit and hat.

Set predominantly in a train, though also featuring scenes outdoors, by the train ladders, and in a tunnel, Baekhyun sings about his love, "Bambi," and charms fans with groovy vocals. The idol also shows off his cool and sleek dance moves with his backup dancers, enchanting fans with his fluid moves.

EXO Baekhyun's Comeback Announcement

SM Entertainment first announced that Baekhyun would be making a comeback as a soloist with his third mini-album, "Bambi," on Mar. 10. The mini-album contains a total of six songs that all show-off Baekhyun's charms and vocal colors.

However, even before SM Entertainment announced Baekhyun's comeback, word started going around that the idol was planning to return to the music scene as a soloist.

On Mar. 4, a South Korean media outlet named The Herald Pop released an article that reported that Baekhyun was working last-minute to make a comeback by the end of the month.

Comeback Schedule for EXO Baekhyun's Third Mini-Album "Bambi"

Soon after announcing that Baekhyun would be returning to the music scene as a soloist with "Bambi," the label released the comeback schedule on Mar. 14.

From Mar. 21 to Mar. 27, SM Entertainment released static teaser images for "Bambi" to their official social media accounts.

On Mar. 22, Baekhyun's agency dropped the album details for "Bambi." On Mar. 25 and Mar. 29, SM Entertainment released the first and second teasers for the music video of "Bambi," respectively.

On Mar. 28, SM Entertainment released the highlight medley for "Bambi."

What to Expect from Baekhyun's Third Mini-Album, "Bambi"

As mentioned, "Bambi" will have a total of six songs. Fans are excited for the title track, which is also titled "Bambi," as it lyrically talks about a mature love story.

"Bambi" is said to be a groovy R&B song with an emotional guitary melody that perfectly compliments Baekhyun's sexy vocals.

Another song that fans are eager to listen to is "Love Scene," which is described to be a medium-tempo R&B song.

Lyrically, the song talks about how it feels to fall in love, comparing it to a love scene from a romance movie.

"All I Got" instantly received attention upon the announcement of its description.

Described as a warm pop-R&B song, the lyrics are said to talk about the process of falling in love and, through time, confessing your feelings to another person.

"All I Got" is additionally described to be charming and heartwarming.

EXO Baekhyun's "Bambi" Expected to be a Massive Hit

Before the official release of "Bambi," the mini-album has already garnered over 833,000 pre-orders. This is not only Baekhyun's most pre-ordered album; it is the most pre-ordered album by a South Korean soloist in history.

With that, Baekhyun broke a record that was also previously held by him for "Delight," which garnered 737,297 pre-orders.

Baekhyun is expected to earn the "million-seller" title once more. The idol first snagged that title with his second mini-album, "Delight," back in Jun. 2020.
