Baekhyun's "Bambi" is the Highest in First Week Sales for Solo Artists

Less than a day since Baekhyun released his mini-album "Bambi" on March 30, the singer has already topped album sales for solo artists. In a list that shows the all-time highest album sales rankings for solo artists from 2008 to 2021, Baekhyun is at no.1 with more than 704,000 albums sold for his second mini-album "Delight," which was released in May 2020.

However, since the release of his third mini-album, "Bambi," he surpassed his own record and takes the no.1 spot again, with "Bambi" selling more than 748,000 copies. In addition, Baekhyun's first mini-album, "City Lights," which was released in July 2019, is also in rankings at no.6, as of now.

Prior to the release of "Bambi," the album had more than 833,000 copies in album pre-orders. This, once again, surpassed pre-orders for "Delight," which had more than 732,000 pre-orders, and more than 401,000 copies for "City Lights."

Baekhyun's "Bambi" Tops iTunes Charts

On March 31, Baekhyun's "Bambi" has entered the iTunes charts and topped several categories. His mini-album made its debut in the "Worldwide iTunes Albums Chart," coming in at no.1 in 56 regions, beating power players Justin Bieber, Evanescence, Lana Del Rey, and more.

In addition, "Bambi" debuted at no.7 in the "Worldwide iTunes Song Chart," taking over Ed Sheeran and Olivia Rodrigo.

Baekhyun Becomes a "Million Seller" and Certified Platinum

Within the first hour of the release of "Bambi," Baekhyun reached certified platinum on QQMusic, China's largest music site, with more than a million Yuan in sales, ranking first in the digital albums sales charts. In addition, not only did Baekhyun sold more than 760,000 copies on Hanteo Chart on its first day, but "Bambi" placed first in domestic charts such as Shinnara Records, Yes24, and Hot Tracks as well.

Baekhyun became the first "million seller" for solo artists in 19 years with his second mini-album, "Delight," having topped both foreign and domestic charts and receiving triple platinum certification.

More About Baekhyun's "Bambi"

"Bambi" is EXO member's third mini-album released on March 30, containing six tracks: the title track "Bambi," which is an R&B song with the theme of love, "Love Scene," "All I Got," "Privacy," "Cry for Love," and "Amusement Park."

The mini-album is Baekhyun's last gift for his fans ahead of his military enlistment. Through this album, he hoped to show his love and affection for those who have supported him throughout the past 19 years.

The "Bambi" singer is set to enlist in his mandatory military service soon as he can no delay his enlistment.
