EXO Baekhyun's "Bambi" was revealed to be the bestselling album in March this 2021! His album is even a just a new entry on the Gaon Chart!

On March 30, Baekhyun made his much-awaited comeback with a new mini-album titled "Bambi." This album serves as the EXO member's final release before his starts his mandatory military service on May 6.

Despite being launched on the second to the last date of March, Baekhyun's "Bambi" still obtained the highest album sales among the other releases in that month. With this, "Bambi" claimed the No. 1 spot of Gaon's Monthly Album Chart for March 2021 in just two days after release.

Gaon Chart Reveals that Baekhyun's "Bambi" is the Bestselling Album in March 2021

Based on the updated website of Gaon Chart, EXO Baekhyun's "Bambi" sits atop the Monthly Album Chart, after taking the No. 1 spot on the daily and weekly rankings.

Gaon Monthly Album Chart ranks physical albums, including mini and single albums, based on shipments. The sales come from offline data provided by agencies and distributors such as CJ E&M Music, Universal Music Korea, Warner Music Korea, Kakao M, and more.

From March 30-31, Baekhyun successfully sold a total of 591,944 copies of his new album "Bambi." The mini-album was followed by Super Junior's "The Renaissance," which sold 433,065, and BLACKPINK Rosé's "R" which sold 394,156.

In addition, "Bambi" also took the top spot on the Gaon Weekly Album Chart for the 14^th week of 2021 (March 28 to April 3). "Bambi" is now EXO Baekhyun's third album to rank first on both the weekly and monthly Gaon Album Chart at the same time, the first two works are "City Lights" and "Delight."

Other than that, the album's title track "Bambi" has also entered the Gaon Download Chart for March 2021. It claimed the No. 2 spot on the newest weekly chart. It is the highest-ranking song by a male K-pop soloist and K-pop solo artist overall. Then, the single sits at No. 12 on the monthly chart.

EXO Baekhyun's new song also landed on the Gaon BGM (Background Music) Chart. "Bambi" is placed fourth on the latest weekly rankings, while it secured the No. 41 position on the monthly rankings. Finally, the song ranked 68^th on the weekly Gaon Streaming Chart and took the No. 143 spot on the monthly Gaon Digital Chart.

EXO Baekhyun's "Bambi" Sells Over 850,000 Copies, According to Hanteo Chart

Besides topping the Gaon Chart, Baekhyun's new album "Bambi" is also doing great on Hanteo Chart, another major music chart in South Korea. According to Hanteo Chart on April 6, "Bambi" has attained a total of 868,840 album sales in its first week since release. This is the highest sales amount in the first week for a solo artist.

The stock pre-orders for "Bambi" also reached the 800,000-mark. Hours before it was dropped on March 30, the album recorded over 830,000 pre-orders, becoming the most pre-ordered album by a solo artist in South Korean history.
