TWICE to Make Appearance on 'The Kelly Clarkson Show'

TWICE will be making their appearance on the famous American TV show, "The Kelly Clarskon Show"!

On April 20 KST, the group announced on their official social media account that the group is confirmed to appear on the famous American TV show, "The Kelly Clarkson Show," that will air on April 27 at 2pm EST/ 11am PST.

TWICE will be performing "Cry For Me," a song that has received much popularity from both domestic and international fans.

 "The Kelly Clarkson Show" is a popular talk show hoted by world-renowned singer-songwriter Kelly Clarkson, that features many global celebrities such as Nick Jonas, Dua Lipa, Halsey, Michelle Obama and more.

In addition, other K-Pop artists such as SEVENTEEN, BLACKPINK's Rosé and MONSTA X have performed on "The Kelly Clarkson Show" as well.

"Cry For Me" was first performed in the "2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards" in December 6, last year. Subsequently, "Cry For Me" was officially released on December 18 and received positive response from fans.

"Cry For Me" ranked first on iTunes Song Chart, charting in more than twenty regions including Brazil, Indonesia and Thailand. The song also ranked second on the worldwide iTunes Song Chart.

On January 2, 2021, "Cry For Me" reached the top ranks on Billboard's "World Digital Song Sales" chart in the United States.

"Cry For Me" is a song produced by JYP Entertainment's founder and producer, Park Jin Young and Grammy-winning pop rock band member of OneRepublic, Ryan Tedder.

TWICE, who has already won numerous awards and continue to take the top spots in charts with their songs, is expanding their musical spectrum and building a stronger global influence.

In particular, their album "Eyes Wide Open" sold more than 500,000 album copies according to Gaon Chart, and has received a double platinum certification. This makes "Eyes Wide Open" their second album to receive double platinum certification after their mini-album "More & More" released in June 2020.

In addition, with "Eyes Wide Open" and "More & More" receiving double platinum certification, TWICE became the first K-Pop girl group to obtain such.

In other news, TWICE is confirmed to make their comeback sometime in June. According to media outlets, the group is already in their final stages of preparation and that their upcoming music video for their title track will be filmed in Jeju Island. 

JYP Entertainment's representative had confirmed the reports and will announce TWICE's comeback date once a schedule has been settled.
