TREASURE's 'LINE FRIENDS' Dolls Sell Out in Only a Minute

TREASURE's "TRUZ" dolls released in collaboration with LINE FRIENDS were sold out in just a minute!

On April 29, TREASURE and LINE FRIENDS released 12 "TRUZ" dolls through the official store of the latter. The following day, the collaboration was a success as many Teumes (TREASURE's fan club) showed great interest in the product.

TREASURE x LINE FRIENDS Dolls Get Sold Out in Just One Minute

On April 30, YG Entertainment announced that the 12 standing "TRUZ" dolls, which were created by TREASURE and the global creative studio LINE FRIENDS, were released on April 29 and were completely sold out afterward.

These dolls were available in medium and large sizes and 12 different types and were available for sale in South Korea on 'LINE FRIENDS' official smart store. Following its launch, both sizes and all types were sold out in only a minute.

Apart from South Korea, TREASURE's "TRUZ" dolls were also put on sale on 'LINE FRIENDS" global online, select store for 18 countries, including those in Asia, North America, and South America. All items were sold out in less than an hour. This goes to show the great popularity of YG Entertainment's new boy group has gained both domestically and internationally.

Despite debuting only eight months ago, TREASURE has proven their significant growth. The amount of time the 'LINE FRIENDS' dolls were sold out overseas is more meaningful as it can confirm the explosive interest of the global fandom toward the boy band.

The "BOY" singers have been running "TREASURE STUDIO" with Line Friends. This is a project to develop a new character IP (Intellectual Property Rights) that will represent the personality and characteristics of the rookie group.

Through this project, TREASURE and LINE FRIENDS were able to create the "TRUZ" dolls. The video showing the process behind the production of the items can be found on the official YouTube channel of LINE FRIENDS. During the production process, the "Going Crazy" singers took part in creating the appearance, personality, and story of each character.

Aside from the dolls, LINE FRIENDS has also released 16 types of "TRUZ" stickers on the mobile messaging app LINE. It is available in seven countries, including South Korea and Japan. Instagram augmented reality (AR) camera filters were launched, as well.

TREASURE Debuts in Japan with "The First Step: Treasure Effect" Album

Meanwhile, YG Entertainment's new boy group debuted in Japan on March 31 with their full-length album titled "The First Step: Treasure Effect." It comprises the Japanese versions of all the songs they released to date, together with their original Japanese single "Beautiful."

TREASURE's Japanese debut album charted at No. 1 on Oricon Daily Chart and remained at the top for four days in a row. The release eventually topped the Oricon Weekly Album Chart with a total sales amount of 57,000.

"The First Step: Treasure Effect" even entered two Billboard Album charts such as Top Album Sales and Japan Hot Albums for the week of March 29 to April 4.
