BTS V and BLACKPINK Jennie Aid Lotte Chilsung Beverage Rise to the Top
ARMYs and BLINKs were very much delighted after the company released a statement, saying that it, recently, topped the brand reputation ranking because of BTS member V and BLACKPINK member Jennie. Lotte Chilsung revealed that its operating profit increased significantly in the first quarter of 2021 due to its on-demand liquor products.
It was divulged that the Lotte Chilsung Beverage saw that its sales rise to 538.8 billion won - thanks to the popularity of its flagship beer brand Kloud, which V and other BTS members have endorsed. The company made a total of 9.3 billion won in the first quarter of the current year after it recorded a deficit of 17.6 billion won last year.
A company official said that the liquor department of Lotte Chilsung Beverage has been doing great in the past few months in terms of sales. The swollen demand for liquor amid the COVID-19 pandemic led to a rise in operating profit and performance of the brand.
The solo advertisement of BTS V, which was released on April 16, was credited for the most recent success of Lotte Chilsung Beverage as it helped attract people from various age groups. Aside from the "Life Goes On" singer, BLACKPINK member Jennie was also named as one of the reasons behind the massive gain of Chum Churum soju drink.
As a matter of fact, Lotte Chilsung Beverage was able to garner a total of 9,830,626 points. Because of this, the company was able to dominate the beverage brand reputation for the month of April, which is actually a first time. The brand even beat HiteJinro, which is the leading alcohol producer in South Korea.

Meanwhile, BTS V sent his devoted supporters into a frenzy once again after he shared a sneak peek of the imminent "Map of the Soul" photobook. The "Dynamite" singer posted a snap of him with blue-colored teardrop diamonds on his face.
The new images of BTS member V, who has been inactive on social media for quite some time, made fans think that he is channeling "Love Yourself: Tear" with a Greek God persona. Others even described the co-member of Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, J-Hope, Suga and RM as a perfect Greek sculpture.
BLACKINK Jennie, on the other hand, was hounded with controversy lately after she was accused of breaking COVID-19 health protocols. Not only did the "Lovesick Girls" songstress failed to wear a face mask on the photo as it also showed her and six friends holding ice creams while not following social distancing rules.
As netizens started pointing out the blunder, BLACKPINK member Jennie quickly deleted the snaps and made another post with the group photo removed. The arboretum released a statement and revealed that the K-pop idol and her crew dropped by to film a YouTube video for business purposes.
The city office also verified that the agency submitted an application and approval form to use the arboretum as a filming location. YG Entertainment also addressed the controversy, saying that Jennie had been there for work and not for a social gathering.
