"Love Scenario" by iKON has successfully reached half a billion views on YouTube!

iKON's "LOVE SCENARIO" Garners 500 Million Views on YouTube

On May 24, YG Entertainment announced that iKON's "LOVE SCENARIO" has attained a new milestone on YouTube. In particular, the music video for the well-loved song has exceeded 500 million views at 12:22 p.m. KST.

"LOVE SCENARIO" becomes iKON's first song to reach half a billion views on YouTube. Released on Jan. 25, 2018 at 6 p.m. KST, the music video took three years, three months, and 28 days to achieve the 500-million mark.

From the day iKON's "LOVE SCENARIO" hit 400 million views, it took 11 months and six days to reach 500 million views. This is less than two months of the time when the music video gained views from 300 million to 400 million views (one year and 30 days).

The "LOVE SCENARIO" music video continues to gain more views in the past minutes, indicating the start of a new journey to 600 million views. As of press time, the MV has garnered over 50,000 more views.

To celebrate this major feat on YouTube, iKONIC (iKON's fan club) took to Twitter to spread the good news and trended the keyword "Queen Love Scenario." It is currently trending at No. 33 worldwide and No. 6 in Indonesia and Malaysia.

iKON's Other Achievements with "LOVE SCENARIO"

At the time of its release in 2018, the music video for iKON's "LOVE SCENARIO" received a lot of love, becoming the No. 1 most popular MV on YouTube Korea. The song quickly became a hit not only among teenagers but also to elementary school students.

Not to mention, the students made a lot of cover videos and even used the lyrics for iKON's "LOVE SCENARIO" as their way to learn Hangul. The boy group has even become the unofficial president of the elementary school students who couldn't stop singing and dancing to the track.

When it comes to music charts, iKON's "LOVE SCENARIO" has obtained countless milestones. One of these is ranking at No. 1 on the real-time charts of major music sites in Korea for a total of 43 days. Because of this, iKON has become the second boy group to attain No. 1 on more than seven music charts following legendary band BIGBANG.

The song went on to take first place on the Gaon Weekly Chart for six weeks in a row, becoming the longest-running No. 1 song in the history of the Gaon Chart. "LOVE SCENARIO" by iKON also scored 204 hourly Perfect All Kills, spent 913 hours at No. 1 on the MelOn Chart, and 40 days on the top of the MelOn daily chart.

Moreover, "LOVE SCENARIO" is the first track to earn a Gaon platinum certification in the streaming category after exceeding 100 million streams.

On top of this, iKON's "LOVE SCENARIO" was declared the "Song of the Year" at the 2018 MelOn Music Awards and 2019 Golden Disc Awards.
