On Saturday, May 29, M2 shared a video of aespa for their "Relay Dance" series. There, the girls performed their latest comeback single, "Nest Level." As the members showed off their moves, there was one detail that caught the fan's eyes — and that is Karina's crop top.

Upon first glance, it would look like Karina is simply wearing a trendy Alexander Wang crop top. However, upon further digging, fans discovered that it is not a top at all — it's a face mask! The mask is Alexander Wang's "logo bandana masks" and retails for $50 USD on their website.

On the Alexander Wang website, they state the mask comes with stretch ribber ear loops and a back strap and is designed for the user to wear comfortably around their nose and mouth. It is made with 100% cotton is a washable and reusable mask, though they stress that it is non-medical grade and is not intended to replace medical-grade PPE.

Though originally a mask, it appears Karina is slim enough that aespa's stylist simply needed to modify the top to have straps and to cover her back to create a crop top for the idol!

Karina, the group's tallest member at 167cm, is known for her amazing physique. She had been complimented for her Barbie-like figure and has even been dubbed by South Korean news outlets as the idol that could most likely become a model. Though always known for her visuals and physique, her wearing a mask as a top totally proves she has unreal proportions!

aespa's Recent Activities

aespa recently made their long-awaited comeback with their third digital single, "Next Level," on May 4, 2021. The song was a commercial success, with "Next Level" topping the Bugs and Genie streaming sites. aespa is the first 2020 rookie group to top a South Korean music streaming service

"Next Level" is a remake of the A$ton Wyld's song of the same name and was part of the "Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaws" movie soundtrack. aespa's version was composed by Yoo Young Jin, Adam McIniss, Mario Marchetti, and Sophie Curtis. SM Entertainment founder Lee Soo Man helped aespa find their distinctive color in the song.

"Next Level" is described as a dance and hip-hop song that is characterized by its groovy rap and energetic bass riff which compliments aespa's powerful vocals. Though mostly in the hip-hop genre, the song's rhythm switches mid-song to an upbeat jazz-influenced composition.

Lyrically, "Next Level," tells the listeners about aespa's journey to Kwangya, their fictional universe, as they search for the villain, Black Mamba.
