Red Velvet Seulgi to Host 'Seulgi.zip" Show on Naver NOW

On May 31, Naver NOW announced that Red Velvet Seulgi will have her own show, "Seulgi.zip" and it will premiere today, June 1.

This project will mark Seulgi's first solo hosting since her debut in 2014. The concept of her live show will be inviting guests to her house and chat about the things they like, as well as play together.

In particular, since Red Velvet Seulgi has always shown her side as a fashionista, she plans to have a good time with the viewers and the guests by revealing her OOTD (outfit of the day) and talking about her preferred style during the show.

In the first broadcast of Seulgi's Naver NOW show, Red Velvet's junior group aespa will appear as the first guest. The "Psycho" singer will share various stories with Karina, Winter, Ningning, and Giselle, presenting a warm senior and junior chemistry.

Red Velvet Seulgi's live show featuring aespa will be broadcast later at 10 p.m. KST. And starting today (June 1), "Seulgi.zip" will air every Tuesday and Thursday at 10 p.m. KST through Naver NOW.

Red Velvet Seulgi's Latest 2020 Music and 2021 Activities

Red Velvet Seulgi has not yet released any single or album this year. Her latest music is "Monster" together with her bandmate Irene. "Monster" is the duo's debut extended play as the first sub-unit of Red Velvet.

"Monster," which was dropped in August last year, contains the full studio version of Seulgi's solo track "Uncover," plus five more songs. The EP debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard World Album Chart, becoming the unit's first top 5 entry on the chart.

Meanwhile, Red Velvet Seulgi has completed a few solo activities this 2021.

On Jan. 25, Seulgi was featured in the music video for "Eeny Meeny" by TVXQ Yunho. "Eeny Meeny" is a B-side track from Yunho's latest album, "NOIR," which was released on Jan. 18 along with the music video for the title track "Thank U."

Also, this year, Red Velvet Seulgi collaborated with rapper Bewhy to film the commercial music video for their Volkswagen "Born Confident" campaign. The MV was officially revealed on Feb. 1.

On March 30, it was announced that Seulgi will be a featuring artist in "Best Friend," one of the B-side tracks from the debut album "LIKE WATER" by her fellow Red Velvet member Wendy. The album was launched on April 5.

"Best Friend" is described as a slow-tempo ballad song about expressing gratitude toward the people they treasure the most and promising them an unchanging friendship. This track matches Seulgi and Wendy as they are bandmates and same-age friends.

Ahead of her Naver NOW show, "Seulgi.zip," Red Velvet Seulgi was chosen as the host for a web music program called "The Music Encyclopedia." The show will be aired on Urigayo's YouTube channel each Friday.
