BTS Top Billboard Hot 100 in Their 5th Consecutive Week

BTS has achieved another record thanks to their recently released song "Butter"!

Back on June 28 local time, Billboard had announced that BTS' second all-English song, "Butter," had once again snagged the No.1 spot on their Hot 100 chart for their fifth consecutive week. Not only that but "Butter" had also taken the top spot of the best-selling songs of the week.

According to Gary Trust of Billboard, there had only been one song by a group that had topped the Hot 100 chart for weeks after its debut - Maria Carey and Boyz II Men's song "One Sweet Day," that had spent its first 16 weeks straight at No.1 following its release. This makes BTS the second longest-running group at No.1 on Hot 100.

Billboard also shared that "Butter" had accumulated more than 12.4 million streams in the United States and 128,400 downloads in the week of June 24 - a 15 percent increase from the previous week. It also saw a six percent increase with 27.6 million radio airplay audience impressions in the week of June 27.

According to Billboard, "Butter" had also sold around 100,000 downloads in each of the first five weeks, making it the first song to do so since "Despacito" back in 2017.
